My Review:

WATH is the third book in the marriage series and you can find my reviews for the first two books here and here. This book picks up from book two following Toke and Mayowa's relationship as well as Jadesola and Fynn. Toke is married to a pastor and she is waiting on God for a child while Jadesola, who is currently unemployed is in a long-distance relationship with Fynn while waiting on God to reveal to her the direction for her life. I loved going back to the lives of Toke and Jadesola and walking through their journey to discovering what God's plan was for them.

The one thing I love about Tope's books is that they are so unpredictable and so all the time while I was reading it I didn't know how things would go and this is something I always enjoy. I loved learning a lot about the importance of waiting on God and trusting in Him even when we have no idea what is going on and what He is doing. Jadesola had a lot of expectations and plans on what she wanted her life to be, but she had to come to a place where she was fully depending on God to guide her next step. I related so much with Jadesola and Fynn's long distance relationship. This book really represented those struggles well and I loved that.

Toke was dealing with a lot of doubts about the abilities God had given her. She tried to run away from the assignment God gave her, but I loved that God was able to grow and strengthen her character while she was still in the waiting season. Like always, we learn in the end that God works for those who wait on Him. I loved the relationship between Mayowa and Toke. They have been my favourite couple from book one and it was just so cute to see how they related with each other while juggling the responsibilities that came with being actively involved in ministry.

We also had a new point of view in this book which was that of Christina, Toke's younger sister. Being the baby of the house, Christina kind of felt her parents and sister didn't take her seriously and she wanted to prove a point. But she ended up making some silly mistakes which came with consequences. The book details how God takes her through that journey of understanding where her identity lies as a child of God. I have to admit that I struggled for half of the book to connect with Christina's character. I felt from the get-go I couldn't root for her because I didn't know what she wanted and where her story was going. But in the end, it was a nice wrap up to the series.
