Book Review // Mission Hollywood By Michelle Keener

Hello everyone.

I hope you are all doing well by God's special grace.

Today, I am so excited to bring you yet another book review. I have been looking forward to reviewing this book so much and I can't wait to share with you all that I have learnt.

Title: Mission Hollywood

Series: Red Carpet Romance Series Book One

Genre: Adult Christian Romance

Blurb:

A Hollywood bad boy. A pastor’s daughter. What could possibly go wrong?

Movie star Ben Prescott arrives back in Hollywood after causing a scandal with his ex-girlfriend in Rome.

Chased through the airport by paparazzi, he jumps into a limo hoping for a quick getaway. Instead he finds Lily Shaw, a pastor’s daughter and preschool teacher. When the paparazzi capture a photo of the two of them together, Ben’s agent demands that he do whatever it takes to keep the story from hitting the gossip pages . . . even volunteer to work at Lily’s church.

Sparks fly as the movie star and the pastor’s daughter work side by side. When Lily accompanies Ben to the premiere of his latest movie, Hollywood takes notice. Under intense media scrutiny and pressure from the movie industry, Ben must risk his career to follow his heart, but Lily wants the one thing he doesn’t have, faith.

Mission Hollywood is an inspirational story about love, faith, and second chances.

I first found Michelle when I was looking for Christian writers to connect with on Twitter, and when I found out she had released her debut novel back in July 2019, I was keen to read her contemporary romance stories.

I have to say that I was very much looking forward to this book and it did not disappoint me. I loved reading Ben and Lily's story. It was a heartwarming story filled with so many cute moments. I loved the characters, and I could relate to some of their struggles. Michelle's descriptions got me thinking I was actually living in Hollywood and the book also gave a good insight into the behind-the-scenes of being a celebrity.

There were so many important questions that were touched on in the book and some twists which I did not see coming at all. The book teaches a lot about serving others, and showing love to others who don't necessarily believe in the same things as we do. It showed the importance of sharing the gospel and not growing weary in praying for the lost. God works in wonderful ways and in the end, His will always prevails.

The book also teaches a lot about the importance of family, and most importantly, how the only foundation of true love should be built on Jesus Christ.

I would recommend this book if you are looking for a good Christian romance novel which does not shy away from talking about God. It was amazing, and I loved it. You can watch my full review on YouTube.

I am so honoured to be a part of the launch team for book 2 in this series called Made In Hollywood which will be out on the 10th of March 2020. I'm so looking forward to reading the next story and I will sure be sharing with you guys what I think of it.
